Palizo Italiano is a restaurant in Platt Park Denver, Colorado, offering classic and regional Northern Italian dishes. The eatery replaced Fourteen Seventy-two near Stella’s Gourmet Coffee at 1472 South Pearl Street. Palizo Italiano’s lunch menu features a delightful selection of salads, antipasti, and mains such as the San Marzano capellini pasta with roasted garlic and San Marzano, as well as the bacon Caesar burger. The dinner menu includes the Entrecote (forty-eight-ounce dry-rubbed rib eye served in a veal demi-glace), Insalata di Granchio di Asparagi (asparagus, lemon zabaione, and crab salad), and Basso a Strisce (full Colorado striped bass, fig vincotto vinaigrette, herbs, and green beans). The Italian restaurant is open for lunch from Monday through Sunday from 11:30 am to 3 pm and for dinner from 5 pm to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from Sundays through Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Lunch at Palizo Italiano runs from 11:30 am to 3 pm with the menu featuring various sections of Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Salumi, and Mocktails. One of the more popular items on the Antipasti category is the $6 Zuppa di Giorno which is Palizo Italiano’s house-made soup. The Insalata Verdi goes for $7 and features basil vinaigrette, cucumber, tomatoes, and spring mixed greens. This selection is incredibly popular with vegetarians. The Caesar goes for $14 and features crouton, parmesan cheese, house dressing, and grilled romaine hearts. The Barbabietole Arrosto goes for $7 and includes balsamic, mint, lemon ricotta, and roasted beets. The Burrata Bufala goes for $15 and features Palizo’s house bread, EVOO, balsamic, fresh honey, and fresh cantaloupe.
One of the popular selections under the Primi is the San Marzano Pasta, which goes for $10 and features parmesan basil and sliced garlic. The Gnocchi goes for $14 and features shaved parmesan, white wine butter sauce, spinach, pecans, and potato gnocchi. The Ravioli goes for $14 and features ricotta Salata, sage brown butter sauce, and gorgonzola fig stuffing. The last item under the Primi is the $15, which features a rich bolognese sauce.
All the selections under the Secondi category are accompanied by a small side salad. One of the popular items under the Secondi selections is the Tuna Conserva, which features ciabatta, aioli, heirloom cherry tomatoes, and albacore tuna. The meatballs are exceptionally well made and feature ciabatta, arugula, fresh mozzarella, and veal meatballs. The BLT is the last item on the Secondi selection. It goes for $14 and features ciabatta, lemon aioli, arugula, heirloom tomato, and Crispy Prosciutto.
Our first entry under the Salumi category is the Prosciutto, which goes for $16 and features basil dressing, heirloom tomato, and fresh mozzarella. The Capicola is another popular salumi selection. It goes for $16 and features dressed grilled romaine, pickled mustard seeds, and parmesan. The Finocchiona goes for $16 and features truffle crema, dressed arugula, and Ricotta Salata.
Palizo Italiano’s Mocktails features a delightful selection of beverages. The Italian style marriage goes for $7 and features Pomplemeno, lemon, house fennel-ginger essence, cranberry juice, and lavender. The Eclipe goes for $7 and features cucumber, lime, province-tarragon syrup herbs, Verius blanc, and coconut water. The 7 beauties mocktail features organic house ginger beer made using seven spices, elderberry soda, lime, and ginger syrup. The slice of life mocktail goes for $7 and features watermelon, lime, Verius blanc coconut water, and honey. All the drinks under the mocktail section are quite tasteful and delightful to the palates. You are guaranteed a fantastic experience regardless of whichever mocktail you prefer.
